1. Definitions

  • “Redrex”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to Redrex (Pty) Ltd, a logistics and transport company registered in South Africa.

  • “Client”, “you”, or “your” refers to any individual, business, or legal entity that uses our services.

  • “Goods” refers to any item or items transported by Redrex on behalf of the Client.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting or using our services, you confirm your understanding and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. These Terms apply to all services provided by Redrex unless otherwise agreed in writing.

3. Services Provided

Redrex offers professional road freight and logistics solutions, which include:

  • Scheduled and on-demand parcel distribution

  • Regional freight transportation

  • Collection and delivery of consignments

  • Tracking and proof of delivery (POD) systems

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue certain services without notice.

4. Quotations and Pricing

  • All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Final pricing is based on the weight, dimensions, type of goods, and delivery location.

  • Additional charges may apply for fuel surcharges, toll fees, waiting time, after-hours collection, or delivery to remote areas.

  • Redrex reserves the right to adjust prices without prior notice due to market or operational factors.

5. Client Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information regarding addresses, contact details, and delivery instructions.

  • Ensure goods are properly packed, labeled, and secured.

  • Declare the full value and nature of the goods, especially if fragile, perishable, or high-risk.

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to the shipment of goods.

6. Prohibited Goods

Clients may not submit for transport any of the following items unless agreed in writing:

  • Flammable, hazardous, or illegal substances

  • Firearms or ammunition

  • Perishable items without proper packaging

  • Currency, traveler’s cheques, or high-value items not declared for insurance

Failure to comply may result in the refusal of services, loss of liability coverage, and/or legal consequences.

7. Delivery Terms

  • Delivery times are estimates only unless specifically guaranteed in writing.

  • Redrex will not be liable for delays caused by weather, road conditions, strikes, acts of God, or any external factors beyond our control.

  • A delivery is deemed complete once a signature or electronic acknowledgment is obtained at the destination.

8. Loss, Damage, or Delay

Redrex is not liable for:

  • Damage resulting from inadequate packaging or labeling

  • Loss or damage of prohibited goods

  • Delays due to inaccurate delivery information

  • Acts or omissions by third-party contractors

Clients are encouraged to request optional insurance coverage when needed.

9. Insurance

Standard liability is limited to R1000 per consignment unless otherwise stated. If you require coverage beyond this, it must be arranged separately through Redrex and declared in advance.

10. Proof of Delivery (POD)

Redrex provides POD for all completed deliveries. This may be a physical signature, photo confirmation, or electronic record. The POD serves as binding confirmation of delivery.

11. Payment Terms

  • Invoices are issued monthly or as per the agreed billing cycle.

  • Payment is due within 30 days from the invoice date unless agreed otherwise in writing.

  • Late payments incur interest of 2% per month and may result in service suspension.

  • Any disputes must be raised in writing within 7 days of receiving an invoice.

12. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Orders can be canceled up to 24 hours before dispatch.

  • Once a collection is initiated, the full service fee is applicable.

  • Refunds are granted only if a service failure is directly attributable to Redrex.

13. Confidentiality

Redrex respects the confidentiality of client data and will not disclose any sensitive information to third parties, except where required by law or with prior consent.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Redrex’s total liability for any claim, loss, or damages shall not exceed the amount paid by the client for the specific service from which the claim arises.

15. Force Majeure

Redrex shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, accidents, or governmental actions.

16. Amendments

Redrex reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be published on our website and take effect immediately upon posting.

17. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be settled by the competent courts within South Africa.
